Recently I came across the terms “manifesting” and “laws of attraction”. Since I started this blog, I have covered topics of gratitude journaling, de-cluttering the mind and self care – it seems inevitable that this topic would appear. How To Manifest The Life You Want? Let’s delve into it!
Manifesting Origin and Law Of Attraction
The Law of Attraction can be traced back throughout history, but it wasn’t until the 19th century’s ‘New Thought” movement that the name was penned “Law of Attraction”.
More recently the book ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne brought it to more people, with Oprah Winfrey promoting it.
Laws of Attraction
Laws Of Attraction is the belief that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person’s life.
You will attract into your life whatever you focus your energy on
When you focus on the good things in your life, you will attract more postive aspects…
If you focus on the negative, you will continue to endure the negative.
Like attracts Like
How To Manifest The Life You Want?
I have been considering my life up until now and can see that I may have been using laws of attraction and manifesting without knowing it. One particular memory I have was when I wanted to meet that special someone. I remember saying to my friend “I’m done with dating and meeting the wrong men – I’m ready for ‘the one'”. I knew I was ready to be with someone, and not long after he appeared in my life…. Sixteen years together and recently he told me he thought the same thing before he met me.
Could we both have manifested one another?
Or could it have been a coincidence?
You may be more sceptical and roll your eyes at the very idea of ‘manifesting’, but it’s all about mindset.
Could manifesting be the start of a spiritual awakening,
or
by simply by focusing on the good things and planning for the good things, you will become more motivated to reach out and grab those good things when they come.
I have started compiling my own manifesting goals, as an experiment but also because I want to be more positive and happy for the future, why would anyone not want that? We have ups and downs throughout life, it’s just how things are, but it’s up to you what you want your mindset to be?
So I challenge you to give this a try – there’s so much out there on how to manifest, but below is what I have started to implement and I will let you know if they come true!
An Important Step Before You Manifest
Before starting to manifest anything, it is important you acknowledge the good things already in your life.
From reading teachings on manifestation, it is vital that your wishes of manifestation come from a positive state of mind. If you’re wondering how to acknowledge the good things – please look at my previous post of Gratitude Journaling
Do this every day to get you in the mindset for manifesting….
Steps – How To Manifest The Life You Want
- Think of five things you would like to welcome into your life – a soul mate, a house, a baby, a job etc
- Write yourself a letter from the perspective of how you’ll feel when you receive these, just a couple of sentences for each wish.
One Example –
I just got the keys to my beautiful house, I’m so excited to start decorating!
The garden has space for me to grow vegetables in and I can’t wait to have everyone over for Christmas dinner!
Read every morning when you wake and every night before bed for about a month, making sure you visualise exactly what you are wishing for to allow yourself to absorb the feelings of excitement/joy you’ll have when they come true.
After a month – let go of your manifestations, trusting that they will come to you when the time is right.
