The moon has always been there. As far back as humans have roamed the world, the moon was there pulling the tides and orbiting around earth. It has remained and guided a lonely wanderer in the past, lighting their way. But what if you could use the moon to help you get closer to your dreams, goals and let go of negativity? Manifest & Free Yourself From Negativity By Using The Moon – it’s easy, so let’s begin…
It was only in the 1960s that humans got on the moon, a triumphant “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”, that showed the world just how awesome humans are – we can do anything! But the moon holds more than just being a solid lump of rock for only a few fortunate people to walk on..
Think of the moon as a magnet, it pulls the seas as it moves around the world. Now why wouldn’t humans be affected by the moon’s pull? We are made up of 60% water, so like the tides, the moon will have an effect on us, whether we see it or not.
If you could use the moon to help you make your dreams become reality as well as a tool to forgive, would you?
Our Connection With The Moon?
Women in particular have a strong connection with the moon, so much that their typical menstrual cycle length is more or less the moon cycle length. And in many cultures, they associate the moon with fertility. Across the world various cultures celebrate the moon:
‘Red egg and ginger party’ is celebrated in chinese culture to mark a new baby’s 1st month birthday.
Moon festival is celebrated in china, and other similiar harvest moon festivals happen in Japan, Vietnam and Taiwan.
The moon goes hand in hand with the seasons and was used as a reliable source to track time. A calendar was created using the phases of the moon and it played a major role in people’s daily lives for centuries, before the calendar of the months was created, which we use in today’s world.
My Experience With The Moon
I’ve developed an interest in the moon cycles and have started to use it as a guide in my life. By keeping track of the moon cycles, I have noticed big shifts in my mood and mindset.
I do my own routines using the new moon and the full moon.
For the last full moon, I celebrated it with my brother. I introduced him to the ceremony of burning our negative thoughts, and using the space to clear away these beliefs and emotions. It was a cool summer evening, the pink clouds above grew fainter as the night gradually set in. Unfortunatly we didnt see the full moon, but it was there watching us.
Taking the time to sit outside by a fire, with a cup of tea and a notepad is glorious. If you can share that with someone then it’s a beautiful experience too.
Once I burned my list in the fire, I felt a sense of relief – that I am letting go these emotions that have been holding me back and giving them up to the moon.
What Is The New Moon?
We all know the full moon, it’s tied with supernatural stories like werewolves or witches, and it can stir up emotions and cause bizarre behaviour in people.
The new moon doesn’t have such chaos attached to it. The new moon is the first lunar phase and it occurs when the moon is between Earth and the Sun. New moons generally cannot be seen.
The new moon is there every cycle, but not seen. It’s as if it’s hiding in the background, giving the limelight to the full moon.
Manifest & Free Yourself From Negativity By Using The Moon
The moon is magical, there is so much attached to the moon. It is a part of us.
Below are the routines I put in place for the new moon and full moon and I invite you to try these too-
New Moon Rituals
I like to be outside under the new moon when I am doing the below..
- Write down 5 things you want to achieve for the month ahead. These could be related to career, romance, friendships, family life. I put down goals that I see could happen but are not easily attainable. For example – to come into money, to find a house, to make new meaningful friendships.
- Make sure your manifestations/goals are in a notebook so you can refer back to them once the next new moon returns. I use this as a reference, to keep check if I have reached those goals or at least see that I am edging closer to them.
- Get in a good frame of mind, reflect on all that you are currently grateful for and meditate on these new goals under the new moon. Spend a few minutes thinking about each new goal.
Full Moon Rituals
I like to be outside during full moon for the below..
- Light a safe fire. I have a fire pit and it’s just wonderful sitting outside, watching the flames.
- Meditate on any grievances and/or any people that you have a bad feeling towards. Do you need to forgive? Write down who you need to forgive and what they did to you.
- Send them love, and send yourself healing loving thoughts.
- Once you have taken some time to acknowledge and process each person to forgive. Burn the piece of paper in the fire to let these negative feelings go.
Time For The Moon
Now I challenge you to give the above steps a go. Feel the connection with something that’s bigger than you. We can all get caught up in the hectic yet mundane life of work and routines. The moon influences our oceans, the hours in our days and the weather. Human’s have done rituals through time, and rituals with the moon, particularly women. In today’s world we no longer take part in rituals, which may be one of the reasons so many people feel lost, lacking purpose. It’s time to look up and see the bigger picture.
